How We Bring Your Vision to Life
A simple, transparent process from initial idea to a perfect finish.

Step 1: Get a Rough Estimate

Step 2: Site Visit & Consultation

Final Design & Accurate Quote
Contact me with your rough dimensions and a few inspiration photos or style ideas. Based on these details, I’ll provide an initial rough quote so you can see if the project fits your budget without any commitment
If you're happy with the estimate, I’ll visit your home in North Leeds to take precise measurements and discuss the finer details—like internal layouts, materials, and finishes—ensuring every inch of space is maximised
Following the site visit, I provide professional drawings and a final, accurate quote. Once approved, I’ll get to work in the workshop, preparing your bespoke furniture for a clean and efficient installation
Behind the Craft
From Cumbrian Roots to North Leeds Homes
My introduction to woodworking didn’t happen in a classroom—it happened in my father’s workshop back in Cumbria. He taught me the fundamentals of joinery: the importance of a sharp tool, the character of different grains, and the "measure twice, cut once" philosophy that I still live by today.
For a while, my career took a detour into the Finance world. While I enjoyed the precision of that environment, I missed the tangible satisfaction of creating something with my own hands. I realised I wanted a job where I didn't just look at spreadsheets, but where I could see the genuine look of pleasure on a customer’s face when a project finally comes together.
I started Cookridge Carpentry by building standalone furniture from reclaimed wood, which gave me a deep appreciation for the history and durability of timber. Today, I’ve shifted that focus to helping my neighbors across North Leeds improve their homes through bespoke, built-in storage.
I’m not just here to fit a wardrobe; I’m here to meet people, solve problems, and create pieces that make your home work better for you. When I’m not in the workshop, I’m usually enjoying family life right here in the community.
